Description
Real estate professional Ashley Coleman was born and raised in Thousand Oaks. Both of her parents and her older sister went to Thousand Oaks High School, and Ashley attended local schools in the Conejo Valley from elementary school all the way through Westlake High School. "All my friends and family went to all the schools in the Conejo Valley, and now all of our kids are going there too. When you move to this area, you stay in this area!" she explains. "I feel like I know all the cities and surrounding cities in the area because Ive been here so long".
After graduating from Westlake High, she commuted to fashion school in downtown Los Angeles (FIDM) where she earned an AA in Visual Communications / Merchandise Marketing. "I love making ALL things pretty, from humans and families to houses and design!". She worked in multiple high end stores and personal shopped, styled and decorated everyone and everything she came in touch with. "Sales and beautifying" was definitely something natural to Ashley, "…although I am NOT a hard seller."
What else could she do that allows her to work in sales, with families and have a chance to give some design or decor advice? Homes! "I love working with families who are relocating or are locals themselves. There is always something exciting and rewarding in helping a family find their home and helping calm the storm and stress of a major purchase, plus I always get to help them decorate or make their homes their own!" During Ashley's 17 years in real estate, she has gained vast and in-depth understanding and expertise of both our local market and thanks to the multiple cycles that the real estate market has undergone during her career; the broader economics behind real estate.
Ashley's husband was also born and raised in Thousand Oaks. They attended high school together, were friends for years, and ended up married! Now with their home base still in Thousand Oaks and three young kids they're here to stay!
